Today was a good day for both Becca and Tyler, other than not getting to see their daddy. I woke up with a bit of a soar throat and decided to play it safe and stay away (not a fun decision to make). Nicky went to spend time with them and feed them at 5PM. Becca continues to progress each day. They kept her at three bottle feedings (still getting eight total) but upped her amount. She ate her entire amount with Nicky (38 cc) without a problem. Tyler's nurse fed him at the same time and he ate 35 cc's, 9 more than yesterday. Way to go buddy!
Tyler's last episode of apnea was at 6am and he self-corrected (didn't need any stimulation to start breathing again). The last time he needed stimulation was around midnight last night, almost 25 hours ago. He seems to be making progress and hopefully the two medications he is on is helping.
Last night they got weighed and bathed. Becca now weighs 3 lbs, 15 oz. Tyler also gained and is at 3 lbs, 13 oz. Rebecca will get weighed each day now to track her progress, since she is eating three meals a day by mouth.
Nicky has been having some issues pumping today. We think she slept too long last night, about 9 hours, which caused some issues. Normally she can't and shouldn't go for more than about 5-6 hours during the night. She is working through a lot of pain and discomfort tonight and will be getting up a bit more frequently. She couldn't definitely use some prayer in this department.
Nicky's dad, Kevin and sister, Meagan arrived tonight around 10:15 from New York. They drove just over 1000 miles today. It was great to see them and we are looking forward to spending this weekend with Meagan, before she flies back Sunday afternoon. Thankfully Kevin will be staying longer, until at least the middle of the week hopefully.
No new pictures today, since Nicky and I weren't both there together. Sorry! Hopefully there will be some posted tomorrow, with Grandpa!
