Tyler is doing great as well. I (Tim) went in to see him and feed him at noon (after my mad dash to complete all of my Christmas shopping in three hours). He did great with me and while I was there, was able to confirm the details for Nicky rooming in during the night with him. It was great being there this many familiar faces from the nursing staff. Everyone was excited to get updates on Becca and to find out how she was doing at home.
Nicky and I did the high five at the house with Becca and off to the hospital she went for her overnight stay. So far, she was doing well there. We do have one individual in our family on house arrest though. Tyler has an ankle bracelet on for security reasons. In fact, during his trip with the nurses from the ISN to his new private room with mommy, alarms were set off and security was tight. I suppose that is reassuring. Nicky was strictly told that she had to sleep between Tyler and the door, he had to go with her to the bathroom and if she were to take a shower, he would need to go back to the ISN.
Hopefully they are both able to get some sleep and he is able to eat well, so he can come home.
Nicholas is doing very well at home, but very bummed that he has to continue to get over his stuffyness before he can hold Becca again. It is very sweet that this is bothering him so much. He loves them so much already and continuously talks about how cute they are. When I was telling him about having a "criminal" in our family (Tyler on house arrest), he said "ya, he just steals all of our love, because he's so cute!" Gotta love big brother.
