Well.....we have good news and bad news....
The good news is that Tyler and Becca are getting to spend the night together once again. The bad news is, they are both still in the hospital. Becca didn't get to come home because she is waiting patiently for her bro to progress. She had a bit of suck apnea while I was feeding her at 9am today, right before their doctor made his rounds and decision. He wanted to continue to watch her for another 24 hours. Since then, she had one more episode, so not sure what tomorrow holds for her either.
Some great news....Tyler got moved to all feeds by mouth today. That is the last major hurdle for him too. Today, they both ate great, however Tyler had episodes during three of his feedings as well. They just need to grow up a bit more I guess. He almost passed his car seat challenge last night. He made it 80 out of his required 90 minutes, then had a bradi cardio and had to be stimulated to recover. The doctor wanted to wait 48 hours, then retry.
So, as you can imagine, today has been a roller coaster for the kids, as well as us. Please pray for our patience with their homecoming and for their continued successes. We apologize for the tardiness of this news. I'm sure many of you were waiting anxiously, hoping for good news. Thankfully, we were able to report good news, just not what we were expecting.
We love you all and appreciate your continued prayers and encouragement. We need that more than anything right now. Good night!
